Women veterans conference set for June in Albuquerque

Registration is now open for the New Mexico Department of Veterans’ Services Women Veterans’ Conference 2025, scheduled for Saturday, June 14th. The event will take place from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Greater Albuquerque Association of Realtors, located at 1635 University Blvd NE in Albuquerque, NM.

The conference theme is "Honoring Our Past, Shaping Our Future." It aims to gather women veterans, community leaders, and advocates for a day focused on empowerment, connection, and collaboration. The event will include workshops, speakers, health care information, VA programs, and details on federal and state benefits.

State Benefits personnel will be available to assist eligible veterans and unmarried widows or widowers with applications for property tax waivers, exemptions, and park passes. Certified Veterans Service Officers will also be present to help with VA benefits claims and questions related to VA healthcare eligibility and enrollment.

To verify eligibility for benefits during the conference, attendees should bring documents such as a copy of DD-214 or equivalent forms, a VA Award Letter or other VA correspondence, and proof of residency like an NM Driver’s License or voter registration card.
