The New Mexico Public Regulation Commission (NMPRC) is set to host a meet-and-greet at the village hall in Corona on Monday, June 16. The event aims to introduce commissioners and agency staff to local residents and stakeholders. This marks the Commission's first visit to the area since it became an appointed body two years ago.
During their visit, NMPRC members will also tour the site of the upcoming SunZia Wind and Transmission Project. This 3.5-gigawatt wind farm spans Lincoln, Torrance, and San Miguel counties and is expected to be completed next year.
This initiative is part of NMPRC's efforts to enhance public accessibility and outreach beyond the Santa Fe-Albuquerque corridor.
