New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham has expressed her sorrow over the death of Bloomfield Police Officer Timothy Ontiveros. The officer lost his life while serving in the line of duty, a situation that highlights the risks faced by law enforcement personnel daily.
Officer Ontiveros had been with the Bloomfield Police Department since November 2024. In his short tenure, he gained respect within the community. At 33 years old, he was known for his dedication to public safety and performed his duties with courage and integrity.
Governor Lujan Grisham extended her condolences to those affected by this loss, stating: "I am devastated by the loss of Bloomfield Police Officer Timothy Ontiveros, who gave his life in the line of duty while protecting the Bloomfield community.
