Kirtland Air Force Base is set to host its annual Air Fiesta 2025 over the weekend of May 31 and June 1. The event will feature aerial demonstrations and static displays, with performances from the U.S. Army Golden Knights and the F-16 Viper Demonstration Team from Shaw Air Force Base. Additionally, the 58th Special Operations Wing will present a showcase including aircraft such as the MC-130, AC-130, HC-130, HH-60, Huey, and CV-22.
The park-and-ride lots will open at 7 a.m., with gates opening an hour later at 8 a.m. Flying demonstrations are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., followed by an opening ceremony at 10:25 a.m. The show will conclude at 5 p.m.
Air Fiesta officials have advised attendees that while the event is open to the public, they should either rideshare or use designated parking lots before taking buses to the base. Specific locations for catching rides include Isleta Amphitheater/Mesa Del Sol, Gateway Center (Gibson), Veterans Affairs Medical Center (Gibson & San Pedro), USS Bullhead Memorial Park (Gibson & San Pedro), and FAA/ACE Dirt Parking Lot (Sunport Blvd. and Girard Blvd. on Lowry St.). A pedestrian gate is also available on Lowry St., just east of this parking lot.
Permitted items for attendees include sealed water bottles, ear protection, small folding chairs, cameras, sealed food, baby food, prescriptions, foldable strollers and wagons, umbrellas, small bags, wheelchairs, and diaper bags.
Kirtland Air Force Base has been associated with the Chamber since January 2000. More information about the event can be found online.
