Albuquerque Reads volunteer Jimmy Bryant was recently recognized for his contributions to the program at three schools. Bryant, who tutors students in reading and writing at Atrisco, Bel-Air, and Whittier elementary schools, was honored during the program's end-of-year celebrations.

Bryant expressed his enjoyment of volunteering, stating, "I’m having the time of my life. It takes time and patience. Seeing the kids read by the end of the year makes it worth it."

In appreciation of his efforts, Bryant received a pass donated by the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science Foundation. The Chamber acknowledged Bryant's dedication along with other volunteers for their role in promoting literacy among Albuquerque Public Schools (APS) students.

The success of Albuquerque Reads heavily depends on its volunteers to sustain its operations and impact.
