Goodwill Industries of New Mexico recently celebrated the graduation of a cohort from its solar installer training program. The ceremony took place on April 22, marking another step in addressing the growing demand for skilled workers in the solar industry.
The program offers participants a comprehensive curriculum that includes "electrical energy fundamentals," "solar and storage safety standards," "solar and storage installation basics," "steps to commission a system," "common maintenance tasks," "solar site evaluation," and "customer service excellence."
Following their graduation, Goodwill Industries provides support to help graduates find career opportunities with competitive starting salaries. This includes job placement assistance, ensuring that participants can effectively transition into the workforce.
Applications are currently open for the next session of the program, which is scheduled to begin in early June 2025.
