Stefani Lord, the state representative for New Mexico District 22, said violent actions targeting the Four Hills voting center in Albuquerque reflect an alarming escalation in political aggression.

"Seriously, what is wrong with you people," said Lord, New Mexico State Representative for 22nd District (R). "I've been outraged at politicians but never felt the need to firebomb places. What's with all of this out-of-control violent behavior. What has led to this unhinged madness where you feel justified in destroying property and people."

In March 2025, the Republican Party headquarters in Albuquerque, New Mexico, was targeted in an arson attack where vandals set a fire and spray-painted anti-ICE graffiti on the building. According to NM Political Report, the graffiti read "ICE = KKK," and the incident drew bipartisan condemnation while raising alarms about escalating political violence in the state. Authorities have launched a federal investigation amid heightened concerns over the safety of political institutions and election-related facilities.

According to Reuters, there were at least 51 recorded incidents of political violence in the U.S. between January and October 2024, including threats and physical assaults targeting election workers and public officials. This marked an increase from prior years and has prompted renewed federal attention on safeguarding electoral integrity and personnel. The trend reflects growing polarization and the need for robust security during the 2024–2025 election cycle.

In early 2025, Tesla dealerships in over a dozen states were hit by politically motivated vandalism involving Molotov cocktails, gunfire, and anti-corporate graffiti. As reported by Business Insider, these attacks caused major property damage and signaled a rise in ideologically driven crimes targeting commercial and political symbols. Law enforcement agencies across multiple jurisdictions are investigating the coordinated nature of these acts.

According to The Guardian, Stefani Lord is a Republican legislator representing District 22 in the New Mexico House since 2021 and is known for her strong pro-Second Amendment stance. In 2023, she publicly called for the impeachment of Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham over an emergency order temporarily suspending firearm carry rights in Albuquerque, citing constitutional violations. Lord consistently advocates for limited government and robust individual liberties in the realm of public safety.
