Albuquerque, N.M. – The Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women (CSVANW) has announced Tiffany Jiron as its new Executive Director. Tiffany Jiron brings a background in advocacy and a commitment to addressing violence against Native women and children.
“After a comprehensive and thoughtful process we have selected a leader who has demonstrated exceptional dedication and capability. Tiffany Jiron has not only shown a profound love for our organization and its mission but also an exceptional ability to strengthen our organizational foundation. Her leadership is marked by a robust and unmistakable sense of integrity in every aspect of her work,” said Chair Paula Feathers, CSVANW Board of Directors.
Tiffany Jiron, from the Pueblo of Isleta, is an advocate with experience supporting survivors and tribal communities. As a first-generation cycle breaker of violence and mother to three children, her personal journey fuels her passion for positive impact.
“I am honored and humbled to step into the role of Executive Director at CSVANW. This organization has a long history of advocating for the safety and well-being of Native women and children, and I am thrilled to continue this important work. As a survivor-led organization, we understand the vital importance of community and the need to uplift those affected by violence. CSVANW’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and healing resonates deeply with me, and I look forward to advancing our mission,” said Tiffany Jiron.
CSVANW is known for creating environments where violence against Native women and children is eradicated. Tiffany Jiron’s appointment reflects CSVANW’s commitment to advocating for survivors and tribal communities.
Her background in social work, policy analysis, community engagement, public education, crisis intervention, along with academic excellence at New Mexico Highlands University’s Facundo Valdez School of Social Work makes her well-suited for this role.
“Her commitment to CSVANW and its mission, combined with her proven track record in fostering organizational growth and stability assures us that she is the ideal person to lead our organization forward. We are confident that under her guidance, CSVANW will continue to make significant strides in our vital work of combating violence against Native women and children,” Feather said.
