Tiffany Jiron joins Albuquerque commission on domestic violence

Tiffany Jiron has been appointed to serve on the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Commission for the City of Albuquerque. In her statement, Jiron expressed her commitment to representing Native communities in addressing issues of safety and justice.

"I am honored and humbled to serve on the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Commission for the City of Albuquerque. This is an important opportunity to amplify the voices of Native women, children, and families who are often left out of critical conversations on safety and justice. Our work at CSVANW is rooted in the belief that every person, regardless of their background, deserves to live free from violence and fear. Together, we can build a more inclusive and compassionate response to domestic violence and sexual assault, and I am committed to ensuring that Native communities are fully represented in this essential work."

CSVANW plans to collaborate with city officials, including the Mayor’s office, as well as other stakeholders. The aim is to enhance responses to domestic violence and sexual assault by focusing on culturally sensitive solutions tailored for Native women and families.
