U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Las Cruces Station agents, in collaboration with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), have arrested 13 individuals at an Airbnb stash house. El Paso Sector Chief Patrol Agent Walter N. Slosar shared this information in a post on X on February 26.
According to Slosar's post, the 13 individuals were found at an Airbnb being used as a stash house. Two primary suspects will face charges of conspiracy to transport and harbor, while the remaining 11 will be processed for removal.
The Las Cruces station of U.S. Customs and Border Protection was established in 1924. Agents at the station currently patrol 3,943 square miles in New Mexico.

The U.S. Border Patrol El Paso Sector is responsible for overseeing approximately 268 miles of the U.S.-Mexico border, which spans West Texas and New Mexico. The New Mexico portion includes operations in the Lordsburg, Deming, and Santa Teresa stations. Agents patrol a combination of urban areas, desert terrain, and mountainous regions to monitor and secure the border. The El Paso Sector in New Mexico is tasked with processing individuals encountered along the border and works in collaboration with state and local law enforcement for security operations. The sector also employs surveillance and technology to detect unauthorized crossings and other border activities.
