Apache Nugget Travel Center reopens with local leaders in attendance

The Apache Nugget Travel Center and Casino, located near Cuba, celebrated its reopening on February 14. The event was attended by various dignitaries and included remarks from several notable figures.

Tony Amormino, the president and CEO of Apache Nugget, addressed attendees during the ceremony. Adrian Notsinneh, president of the Jicarilla Apache Nation, also spoke at the event. Additionally, Senator Leo Jaramillo (D-Los Alamos, Rio Arriba, Sandoval & Santa Fe) was present along with other officials from New Mexico.

The casino is owned by the Jicarilla Apache Nation and first opened its doors on August 6, 2004. It had been closed for a few years prior to this reopening.

A representative expressed enthusiasm about the development: "We welcome Apache Nugget Travel Center and Casino to the Chamber team!"
