The Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce hosted its "Shakers & Stirrers" event at Fogo de Chão, marking the first gathering of 2025. Kellie Mixon, president and CEO of New Mexico Mutual and treasurer for the Chamber, served as the emcee.

"I want to welcome you all here today on behalf of the Chamber," Mixon addressed attendees. "Your investment in the Chamber is so important, allowing us to continue to do important work supporting local business. Our team of lobbyists and policy experts are actively working on behalf of the business community right now to advocate for this year’s Legislative Agenda."

Mixon highlighted that this year's Legislative Agenda is themed "New Mexico Competes." The agenda focuses on addressing crime, reducing taxes, enhancing education, and resolving the health care workforce shortage.

During the event, Mixon acknowledged two new investors: Shonna Begay, Amy Dow, and Rohan Mehta from Sonesta ES and Simply Suites; and Vanessa Rhein from RM Soap Market.

Sonesta ES and Simply Suites provide amenities such as on-site parking, fully equipped kitchens, spacious work areas, free Wi-Fi, and complimentary breakfast with fresh coffee. These facilities are conveniently located near key sites like the University of New Mexico and Albuquerque Convention Center.

RM Soap Market operates in Coronado Center offering a range of boutique hand-crafted soaps.

The Chamber expressed gratitude towards both longstanding and new investors for their continued support.
