The New Mexico Public Education Department's College and Career Readiness Bureau is introducing a new initiative aimed at enhancing the preparedness of graduates from Career and Technical Education programs. The program focuses on aligning student skills with industry needs by engaging directly with employers to understand their requirements and challenges.
Officials involved in the program have announced plans to develop a resource hub that will feature high-demand skills and credentials. This hub is intended to support Career and Technical Education programs in both high schools and colleges throughout New Mexico.
The department aims to collect current information to ensure students are well-prepared for their future careers. To facilitate this, virtual conversations are scheduled across various sectors:
