Obituary
Helen Regina Jackson Deatherage (Our Angel) went home to see our Lord on Sunday, April 2, 2023, surrounded by family. Helen was born January 5, 1935 in Jacksonville FL, where she met her husband, Don. They were married on June 23, 1956 and moved to Albuquerque shortly thereafter. She was a devout believer in God and was very involved with her church, Sandia Baptist.
She is survived by her sisters, Christine Stockwell (Harlan), Melba Dowdy (James), and Barbara Barbour (Wes); sister-in-law, Martha Jackson (Bobby); brother-in-law, Roy Edwards (Patricia); brother, Kenneth Jackson; daughter, Audrey Bernard (Craig, deceased); son, Curtis Deatherage (Amy); son-in-law, Mac Davis (Sharon, deceased); grandchildren, Brittany Lovato (Martin), Zach Gruen (Erin), Kelsey Ramirez (Ethan), Jackson Bernard, Spencer Deatherage, Jake Deatherage, and Bronson Deatherage; and six great-grandsons. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Vernie and Dru Jackson; brother, Bobby Jackson; sister, Patricia Edwards; husband, Don Deatherage; and daughter, Sharon Davis.
A Visitation will be held Monday, April 17, 2023, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at FRENCH – Lomas. Services will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2023, 10:00 a.m., at Sandia Baptist Church, 9429 Constitution Ave. NE. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
