Vanessa Marie Olguin, age 45, a native of Albuquerque and a resident of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, passed away on March 28, 2023. Vanessa is survived by her husband of twenty-seven years, Simon Olguin; children, Briana Olguin, Elise Olguin, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Olguin, and Simon X. Olguin; parents, Frank, and Yvonne Apodaca; brother, Matthew Apodaca, and wife, Munnaie; sister, Michelle Chimento and husband, Tony. Vanessa was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Her laugh was unforgettable. She loved her family, nature, playing with horses, butterfly motifs, going to the mountains, and especially shopping for clothes, shoes, and glitter. Visitation will be held in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. Final visitation will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church 820 Broadway Blvd SE. with Mass of the Resurrection to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow the Mass at Mt Calvary Cemetery 1900 Edith Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will, Adrian Olguin, Abel Olguin, Matthew Apodaca, Chris Mancha, Angel Lino, and Herman Gabaldon. Honorary pallbearers will be, Kathleen Romero, Maria Candelaria, Marisa Apodaca, Adriana Olguin, and Tony Chimento.
