Obituary
Elden Okino, loving husband, father and friend passed away and was greeted by his son on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. He was blessed with a lung transplant giving him an additional 15 years in this life.
Elden was known for his kind nature. He smiled with his whole face, lighting up the room. He was the happiest when with his family and friends or outdoors. Elden loved hunting, fishing, gardening and cooking. Each year he planted vegetables in the garden which would be eaten all summer long. He enjoyed fishing in Alaska and would catch enough to hold him over until the next year when he would go again! When the family was young, he would pack everyone into the car and go for a drive, which really was a scouting trip for his next hunt. Everyone enjoyed bumping along on dirt roads out in the country. He loved preparing the food he grew or caught, making him an amazing cook. He was known far and wide for his brisket!
Elden was a loving husband, father and friend. He always supported his wife, passed on his kindness, love of nature and cooking to his children, and would do anything for his friends. He spoiled his dog who waits for him in his chair.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at FRENCH-Wyoming, Wednesday, July 26, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
