                                                                                      Norville Ricks Jr.

Was born in Lee County, Virginia January 7, 1941, to Norville Ricks Sr. and Sadie Bowman Ricks. In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by his daughter Laura Ann Chapman, grandchildren Ashleigh Land, Leon Davis and Jordan Karamoko.

Norville also known as (Jackie) or (Doc) graduated from Harmer Grammar School in Fort Wayne, Indiana around 1955, furthering his education going into the military and becoming a Mason (inactive).  

The Lord called Norville home December 17, 2022, in Albuquerque, New Mexico leaving behind four children Tiffani Ricks-Cooper (Jeffrey), Sheila Davis, Kenya Catlin and Geoffrey Kellogg along with nine grandchildren: Aaron Ricks, Joi Karamoko, Myah Karamoko (Thomas) Thia Walten, Justin Vinson (Freda) Latricia Wallas (Myreon) Kia Davis (Derek) Arnel Davis. Thirteen great-grandchildren: Trenton Malone Jr, Leilani Dorsey, Anjelo, Ania, A’najay and Autumn Vinson, Korey, Karrie and Kourtney Wallace, Kiarra Wright, Derek Walker Jr, and Sirr Donavon. Two great-great grands Britney Douglas and Dashann Osborne.  

 

A memorial service will be held on January 5,2023 1:00 Pm at Strong Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave SE 87106 Albuquerque, New Mexico.
