Jose Romolo Marquez age 74, born in Garfield, New Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on December 22, 2022. Mr. Marquez is survived by his; children, Jose Marquez lll, Christina Marquez-Rodriguez and wife, Rosanne; grandchild, Brianna Marquez; great-grandchildren, Marisol Soyla Gutierrez; brother, Victor Marquez. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Ann; granddaughter, Meryah Marquez; siblings, Juan Manuel Marquez, and Yolanda Mendoza. Mr. Marquez served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corp. where he was honorably discharged in 1969. Visitation will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church 562 Atrisco Dr. SW on Thursday, January 5, 2022, at 8:00a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 8:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Father Patrick presiding. A Committal Service with Military Honors will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. 501 N. Guadalupe St. in Santa Fe. Pallbearers will be Jose R Marquez III, Martin Lozano, Patrick Ruiz, Christopher D Marquez, Ivan G Marquez, and Juan M Marquez.
