John Gilbert Rael, age 82, born in Sant Fe, New Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on December 12, 2022. John is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Marcella Baca Rael; daughter, Gloria Garcia, grandchildren, Monica Santistevan and husband, Charles, Amber Tafoya and husband, Robert, Jeremy Rael, and girlfriend Krystianna; great-grandchildren, Steve Gonzales, Arianna Griego, Ryan Gonzales, MaceeRae Santistevan, Ricky Rael, Karmella Rael; brother, Joe Rael and wife, Dolores, and Benny Rael; many brothers and sisters in law and nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be held in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW on Friday, December 23, 2022, at 8:15 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 8:45 a.m. by Karen Herrera. Funeral Service will follow the Rosary at 9:15 a.m. Interment will follow services at Mt. Calvary Cemetery 1900 Edith Blvd NE. Pallbearers will be Sonny Baca, Steve Baca, Jeremy Rael, Steve Gonzales, Ryan Gonzales, and Joe Rael. Honorary Pallbearers will be Charles Santistevan and Robert Tafoya
