Obituary
Sally Jo Lash, age 89, beloved Mother and Nana, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, December 3, 2022. She was born in Albuquerque, NM on November 13, 1933, to Edward and Cecilia A. Lee.
She attended Immanuel Lutheran School and graduated from Albuquerque High. Sally was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was a member of the Wesley Club. She married Louis H. Lash in 1955 and had 3 children. Sally became active in NM politics and worked on Pete Dominici's campaign among others. At age 50, Sally graduated from University of Albuquerque Nursing school and joined the staff at St. Joseph hospital neurology Dept.
Following retirement, she was a volunteer at Share Your Care. Sally was an avid reader and loved to sing and gather with family and friends for a night of guitar playing and singing Irish ballads and folk songs. Nothing made her happier than having her family around her. Her laugh will long be remembered as well as her joyful disposition and vibrant personality. She made a friend of any person she met and could brighten up a room just by walking it.
Sally is survived by her three children, Michael Lash (wife, Robin), Luanne Garcia (husband, Ernie), and Kurt Lash (wife, Kelly), along with eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 10:30 a.m., FRENCH - Westside.
