Iva Vest, age 105 passed away on Nov 17, 2022. She was born in rural Tama County Iowa, July 25th, 1917. Iva married her high school sweetheart, Frank V. Vest on Dec 12, 1937. They had three daughters: Marita and Robert Glisson (both deceased), Laureen and Thomas Lamb (deceased), and Vicki and F. Lee Gates. Iva had seven grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren.
Iva retired from Southern Union Gas Company (NM Gas Company) in 1979. Her husband Frank passed away in 1992. She spent the rest of her life doing her housework, gardening, sewing, church activities, and volunteer work.
Viewing will be 9-11 AM on Thurs, Dec 1, 2022 with services following at 11 AM. Daniels (Strong-Thorne) Memorial Chapel on Coal Ave.
