Age 63, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022. She was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM. She met her husband Mark 44 years ago. They raised their family here in Albuquerque where she worked with Mark in their own business. She enjoyed going to Old Town and going to the fiestas. She very much enjoyed dancing and spending time with her family. Evelyn was a master at making cupcakes and planning family events and gatherings. She was a loving and working mother, wife, grandmother. She always knew how to make us feel loved and cared for. We will miss her contagious smile, laughter and strength.
She was preceded in death by her father, Florentino Padilla; siblings, Elizabeth Sedillo and Larry Padilla.
Evelyn is survived by her husband, Mark Garcia; children, Letichia Tapia and significant other, Raul Bejarano, Crystal Madrid and husband, Arcenio, Mark Garcia and fiancé, Chantel, Matthew Garcia, special hito, Isaah Rios Rodriguez; grandchildren, Elijah, Sebastian, Raul III, Dominic, Nieves, Mia, Francisco; mother, Gerturde Padilla; siblings, Eugene Padilla and wife, Rosalie, Michael Padilla, Randy Padilla and wife, Peggy, Elaine Padilla and significant other, Michael Lopez; in laws Louie and Grace Garcia; brother in law, Louie Jr.; sister in law, Debra Randall and husband, Randy and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 9:00 am at St. Therese of the Infant Jesus, 3424 4th Street NW. Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. A Reception will follow at the Moose Lodge, 2121 Edith Blvd. Pallbearers will be Rick Sedillo, Isaah Rios Rodriguez, Eric Padilla, Mitchell Padilla, Dominic Madrid, Steven Padilla. Honorary pallbearers will be James Padilla, Daniel Padilla, Mark Sedillo, Francisco Nelson, Sonny Padilla, Elijah Bejarano, Sebastian Bejarano and Raul Bejarano III.
