Stella Marguerite Naranjo-Thompson

Stella (Margie) Naranjo-Thompson, age 84, went home to be with the Lord on October 3, 2022, at her home. She was born on December 20, 1937, in Albuquerque, NM. She was a Native daughter, Mom, Grandma, Nannie, entrepreneur and fighter. She was an advocate for Native American Arts. She owned and operated Adobe Silver at Naranjo's in Old Town and Houston since the 1960s. She was a self-taught jeweler and artist. She was an active member of SWAIA and Old Town Merchants Association for years. She also helped found the Intertribal Council of Houston.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles Probst Romero and Carmene Romero; Sisters, M. Charlene (Charlie) Casados and Melanie Romero and Infant daughter.
She is survived by her sibling Eduardo Sandoval (Cathy) and 5 other siblings; Son and his wife Ricardo and Palmira Garcia; Daughter Debbie Denise Tallant; Grandchildren, Sabrina and Jesse Garza, Carmene and Emerson Juarez, Charisse and Hank Huffman, Tony Torres, and Michael Collins and 11 great-grandchildren.
As well as many other family and friends who loved and will miss her dearly.
