On October 1, 2022 Mary Ann Bazan passed away peacefully after a second battle with cancer. She was born Mary Ann Baldonado in Albuquerque, New Mexico on October 20, 1945. She attended school at San Felipe De Neri and graduated from St. Mary’s High School. Mary Ann was married to Alexander Bazan and raised their family Antoinette and Matthew in Albuquerque's North Valley. Mary Ann worked 45 years in retail for Sears Roebuck. She was an excellent cook, loved crafting and enjoyed gardening. Her pride and joy were her three grandchildren. Mary Ann will be greatly missed.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Dorothy Baldonado; brother, Bobby Baldonado; nephew, Jose Manuel Baldonado and aunt, Millie Lucero. Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Alexander Bazan; children, Marie Antoinette Bazan, Mathew Bazan and spouse, Francisca; grandchildren, Mercedes Gonzales Bazan, Liam Bazan and Alessandro Bazan; nieces, Roberta Liza Baldonado-Garcia, Yvonne Baldonado-Aranda; sister in law, Marilyn Baldonado; and her cousins who were more like sisters, Mabel Martinez, Patricia Herrera and Loretta Romero.
A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at 10:00 am with a Mass to be celebrated at 10:30 am at San Felipe de Neri, 2005 North Plaza NW. Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
