Obituary
Nick Wayne Barbaro, Jr., age 47, our beloved son passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. Nick was born on April 17, 1975, in Merced, California.
Nick took every opportunity to create meaningful and lasting memories with everyone he came in contact with. He was an intense thinker and playful kidder, a brave soul on a constant search for peace and light. Nick was known for challenging himself and those around him, for having an extensive, eclectic library of knowledge, and for consistently looking for ways to help others. As an organ donor he proved how committed he was to helping others. Through his organ donations he was able to give hope to over 10+ patients in need. He was very proud of his military service to the US Navy and made it his mission to help other veterans of all services. On a daily basis, Nick could be spotted wearing a tee shirt displaying the American Flag or some form of military design. He was constantly working to improve himself by pursuing educational opportunities and would have completed his third degree in December. Nick enjoyed the freeing feeling of riding his motorcycle wearing his special NAVY helmet, the pump of working out and staying healthy, and long discussions about philosophy, religion, literature, and life.
Surviving Nick are his parents, Lyn (Jon) Kirkwood and Nick (JoAnn) Barbaro; his daughter, Jasmine Ellison; brother, Kevin Kirkwood; and sisters, Melissa Hutchinson, and Michelle Killebrew. He also leaves behind his grandparents, cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, and cousins.
