Obituary

Mary Budd Mucci died Saturday, August 6, 2022, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was the daughter of Ruth Blydenburgh Budd and Edward Gowen Budd, Jr.; and granddaughter of Edward Gowen Budd, of the Budd Company that developed and built the streamline trains (Zephyrs).

Mary graduated from Germantown Friends School, Mount Holyoke College, and Wesleyan University (MA) where she met Joseph Francis Mucci whom she married in 1953. In the mid 1960's Mary began a career in education teaching chemistry at first at Ladycliff College and then at Dutchess Community College where she then became an Associate Dean of Academic Affairs.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph; children, Mary Mucci (Bartschi), Ann Procanin, and Thomas Mucci; grandchild, Dana Miller; and great-grandson, Keaton Cantone.
