OBITUARY

On June 23, 2022 Mabel Tellez passed away and went home to be with our heavenly father to whom she was so devoted. Born on October 20, 1935 to Maximilian and Lola Salas, Mabel was raised in Old Town and spent most of her life in Albuquerque. She also lived in Maryland for 10+ years with her family.

Mabel was preceded in death by her husband Tom Tellez and her son Anthony Sanchez.

Mabel is survived by daughters Lucia Moon and Julie Tellez (partner Vanessa Grose), and her sister Dolores Harris. She was the grandmother of Jessica (Billy), Nikki and Vincent. Great-grandmother of Chyna, James, Sierra, Braelyn, Jionni, Dante (Kiki), Jaylyn, Joey (Asanti), and Trinity. Great-great grandmother of Lorenzo and Mateo (who is on his way). Mabel had many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mabel was very young at heart and made friends wherever she went. When she wasn't baking cakes or cookies she was spending time with loved ones. She had the biggest heart and gave so much to those around her. She will be greatly missed.

A Rosary for Mabel will be Friday, July 8, 2022 at 9:30am with a Mass to follow at 10:00am all to be held at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church, and a Burial to be held at Mount Calvary Cemetery. A Reception will follow to 7241 Isleta Blvd SW Albuquerque 87105.
