Obituary

James Townsend, age 92, beloved husband and father, was called to his eternal resting place on Friday, May 10, 2022.

He entered this world on April 29, 1930, in Asheville, NC, born to Robert and Sadie Townsend.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Lavern Townsend; son, Bill Townsend; daughter, Charmaine Tycer; daughter, Patsy Beaudry as well as 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandsons. James served in the Marines from 1951 - 1959.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022, 3:00 p.m., at FRENCH - Westside.
