Obituary

Theola Johnson, 99, a long time resident of Albuquerque, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022. She was born in Roby, Texas, October 8, 1922 and grew up in Lubbock, Texas. She is survived by her sons, all of Albuquerque; Robert (Andy), Nicholas (Nick), James (Mike), William (Blake) and wife, Lynette; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nephew, Greg Gentry and wife, Jamie, of Lubbock; nephew, Bill Bass and wife, Barbara, of Lubbock. She was preceded in death by husband, Billy; twin sister, Othela; sister, Vee; brother, Kimber; and parents, Robert Theophilus Bertram (Bessie Viola) of Lubbock. Theola married Billy Johnson in 1942. They moved to Albuquerque in 1957 where they would raise their family.

She worked for Albuquerque Public Schools as an administrative secretary for almost 20 years. Theola had an unconditional and deep love for her family and friends. She touched everyone with her boundless love and kindness and will be forever loved and missed. We love you Mom!
