OBITUARY

Enrique Ortega, a life-long resident of Albuquerque, NM, died unexpectedly on May 29, 2022 at the age of 44 at his residence.

Enrique is survived by his parents; his children Faith Montoya, Angeleen Ortega, and Andres Ortega; and his brothers Roy Muniz, Marcial Ortega (Rachel), Julio Ortega (Jennifer), and Fermin Ortega (Carla), and his six nephews, and five nieces.

Enrique is preceded in death by his grandparents Lupe and Cecilio Muniz, and Jose Ortega.

Enrique was born in Albuquerque on May 31, 1977 to Lillian and Greg Ortega. He attended Valley High School, and was exceptionally good at mathematics.

Enrique was a social butterfly, and enjoyed going out and meeting new friends. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was sure to keep everyone laughing as he had a fun personality. He was very proud of his children, and always wanted the best for them. One of his favorite places to visit was the mountains where he would occasionally take short day trips.

A rosary and funeral service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on June 10 at the San Martin de Porris Church on Camino San Martin. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered at https://gofund.me/3d824769, or to a family member.
