OBITUARY

Reynaldo F. Cordova, 88, of Albuquerque, NM, was called by our Lord and Savior on May 27, 2022.

Rey was born to Cleo and Antonio Cordova on October 24, 1933 in La Joya, NM.

Rey received a Bachelor's Degree from University of Albuquerque in Spanish and physical education. He then received his Master's Degree from University of Albuquerque in Spanish and physical education, where he worked as a Spanish teacher in NM. Rey then received a Master's Degree in Psychology at Highlands University and became a counselor for the Albuquerque Public Schools where he retired after 42 years.

Rey served honorably with the United States Army.

Rey was incredibly dedicated to his faith, family, friends and community. He was very active in his parish. He had a passion for learning and teaching. Rey had a great sense of humor and a zest for life. He was very generous in all aspects. Rey loved working out and loved camping with his family and friends. He and Mary Ann traveled many places around the world.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Ann. He was blessed with a large, loving family; Phillip Cordova (Andrea), Roger Cordova (Amy), Roberta Cordova-Diba (Bertin), Lydia Griego (Steve), Carolyn Baca (Fernando), Bernadette Padilla (Jimmy), Jennifer Tafoya (Cory).

"Tata" will be greatly missed by his 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.

Rey is survived by his sisters Nellie Montoya (Orie), Vera Dewees (Jerry), and Jeanette Nelson.

Mass will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church (1400 Arenal Road SW, ABQ, NM 87105) on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 9 a.m. and reception held immediately after.

Rosary will be held prior to mass at 8:15 a.m.

Private burial will be in La Joya, NM.
