Obituary
Felix Lorenzo Garcia, age 84, passed away peacefully at home with his wife and children by his side on May 11, 2022. He was born on August 10, 1937 in Valencia, NM to Jesusita and Claudio Garcia.
Felix graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1956. At a young age he met "the most beautiful girl," Lorenza Montoya, and the two were married November 17, 1956. Together they had five children. Throughout his life, he worked for Arrow Supermarket, in Barelas, as a produce manager for 14 years and Dixon Paper Company as a warehouse manager for 25 years. Felix dedicated his life to adoring and caring for his wife and children. He spent the majority of his retired life with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, splitting time between their houses in Albuquerque and Sapello, NM. Felix devoted and exemplified his life to the Catholic faith. He enjoyed traveling, crafting banquitos and New Mexican folk art for his family, cheering on his favorite sports teams, The Raiders and The Lobos, and being outdoors. Felix was happy-go-lucky and will always be known for whistling everywhere he went and his insatiable sweet tooth. Felix was most proud of being "tata" to his grandchildren, always attending school functions and activities.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesusita, Claudio, and his only sibling, Eugene Garcia.
Left to honor Felix and remember his love are his wife, Lorenza and children, Gathen (Margie), Philip (Lorena), Therese Sanchez (Thomas), Gerard, and Dina Giddings (Michael). He is also survived by his ten grandchildren; Diego, Tomas, Alina, Terresa, Alex, Gerard II, Jacquelyn, Jessica, Alejandro, Adelis, and 8 great grandchildren; Sarae, Jayde, Cienna, Landen, Iylah, Myles, Remmy, Felix, and one on the way. Many God children, nieces, nephews, and other family members.
His million dollar smile will be missed dearly.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00pm on May 26, 2022, at FRENCH - Wyoming. A mass will be celebrated at 10:00am on May 27, 2022, at Our Lady of the Annunciation. A reception will follow at FRENCH - Wyoming.
