OBITUARY
Abel James Sedillo (age 56) has been called to our Heavenly home after a brief illness. 11/7/65-3/30/22. Abel was a good son, brother, uncle and friend to all who knew him. Abel was an Albuquerque native and went to the Albuquerque Hearing and Speech Center, Cortez Elementary, McKinley Middle and graduated from Del Norte High in 1985. He was a recent retiree from the United States Post Office. He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle around town and going on road trips and was looking forward to being on the open road after he retired. Abel was an avid sports fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Lakers and UNM Lobos.
Abel is preceded in death by his brother Stephen Sedillo, his mother Catherine T. Sedillo and his father Abel O. Sedillo. Maternal grandparents, Victor and Margaret Chavez and paternal grandparents, Abel and Celia (Sally) Sedillo. He is survived by his sister, Anita Sedillo, his nephews Alejandro and Joaquin, including his great nephew Aaron and great niece, Amari. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A very special thank you to his lifelong friends, James Maes and Martin Jaramillo - thank you both so much for always being there for Abel during his life and helping him to transition at the end.
Cremation has taken place at Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW, Albuquerque, NM 87121. Funeral services will be held on July 12, 2022 at 11am, Calvary Church, 4001 Osuna Rd NE. A reception will follow in the Plex.
