Wanda Hall Collins

December 9, 1955 ~ February 2, 2022 (age 66)

Obituary

Wanda Hall Collins (66) was called home to her Lord and Savior February 2, 2022. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by her husband and children.

Wanda was born on December 9, 1955, in Lake City, Florida to Carlton and Ruth Hall. As a young teenager she started a life for herself in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Wanda successfully earned her cosmetology license at the young age of 20. Her excellence in her craft allowed her to travel as a Redken ambassador, own a multi-service salon and build a clientele that would last decades. She finished her career after 45 years. Although Wanda deeply enjoyed her profession, her true joy was found in being a homemaker. She married her husband, Michael, in 1983 at Hoffmantown Baptist Church, and they welcomed two children together. Wanda was a devoted wife and mother. She had many talents and interests including cooking, baking, quilting, reading, and gardening. Perhaps her greatest joy was found in her eight grandchildren. She will forever be remembered for her generous heart, her contagious laugh, and her steadfast faith in Jesus Christ.

Wanda Jean is preceded in death by her mother, father, and sister, Diane Adams, of Albuquerque, NM. She is survived by her sister, Shirley Hall of Saint Cloud, Fl., two brothers, Ernest Hall of Orange Park, Fl. and Cecil Hall of Lake City, Fl., her doting husband of 38 years, Michael Collins, her son, Scott Collins (Crystal Collins), daughter, Jenna Reass (David Reass), eight grandchildren: Shane, Isidro, Ellie, Addie, Charles, Wyatt, Luke and Brody, as well as numerous dear friends, clients, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
