OBITUARY
Yolanda Gregorita Chavez age 70, born in Mountainair, New Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on December 31, 2021 Yolanda is survived by her husband of over fifty years, Mel Chavez; son, Mike Chavez and wife, Joyce, and daughter, Melanie Chavez Sanchez; grandchildren, Esperanza, Melachi, Amor, Marcus, Maya, Mathias, Mateo; siblings, Viola Padilla, and Diana Luna; mother in law Seferina Chavez ; second mother, Lola Gallegos; many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Yolanda was preceded in death by her son, Mel N. Chavez Jr.; parents, Mateo and Rosa Luna; brother, Ricardo Luna; second mother, Mary Lou Armijo, niece, Rosie Schroulote. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church 5415 Fortuna Dr. NW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 21, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow the services in Torreon, New Mexico. Pallbearers will be Melachi Sanchez, Marcus Sanchez, Mathias Sanchez, Gary Chavez, Pat Luna, Pat Luna Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mateo Chavez, Roman Chavez, Milo Sanchez.
