OBITUARY
Roberto Jose Lopez of Santa Fe, New Mexico
Born February 6, 1951
passed away on Tuesday morning November 9, 2021 after a courageous 10 year battle with cancer.
He was born in Santa Fe, NM and spent his childhood there.
In the late 1960’s Robert moved to Albuquerque, NM.
He married his soul mate and love of his life Angelina Yolanda Lopez.
They married February 2, 1970. They were blessed to be married for 51 years.

Everyone who knew dad knew that he was a straight shooter and a
God fearing man.
Robert was a graduate from the University of Albuquerque in 1982 were he received a bachelor’s degree in Architect. He designed the Victory Love church in Albuquerque.
He was a local business owner.
Robert had a detail shop in the late 1980’s.
A trucking company RJL trucking 1990-1998.
Robert taught his son Robert Jr. how to drive tractor trailers and get his CDL. Robert Jr. was blessed to be a part of the trucking business. Robert had a contract with Borden Dairies.
Robert would donate dairy products and his time to sister Genevieve with the St. Felix pantry in Rio Rancho, NM.
He also had a contract with Fleming Foods out of El Paso, Texas. His company ran groceries to FURR’s Supermarkets throughout New Mexico.
Robert also had a contract with Western Mobile Aggregate products of New Mexico. Which paved many interstates in New Mexico and Arizona.
Robert also had 2 produce stores. One was located at five points in SW Albuquerque and the other Coors and Corona NW. “The Garden Spot.”
Robert is survived by his loving wife Angelina Yolanda Lopez. His children Robert Lopez Jr. and his wife Maryann Lopez of Albuquerque. Christine Baca of Albuquerque and Mark Lopez of Albuquerque.
His grandchildren Joshua Lopez, Bobby Lopez, Mark Lopez Jr. Felisha Baca and her boyfriend Joe. Julian Baca, Brianna Baca and her boyfriend all of Albuquerque
His great grandchildren Robert Lopez, Noel, Zayden, Elijah and Skylaar.
He is also survived by his sisters Louella Martinez of Albuquerque and Veronica Jaramillo and her husband Robert Jaramillo of Albuquerque.
He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by his much adored mother, Josie Lopez and father Armando Amado Lopez.
His siblings Jerry, Junior, Leroy, Phillip Lopez and Mary Mora.
His great grandchildren Robert Lopez III and Marisa Baca.
There will be a viewing on Tuesday November 23,2021 from 6- 8 pm.
at Strong - Thorne located at 1100 Coal Ave SE
A service will be held at Strong - Thorne Wednesday November 24, 2021 from 11-12pm.
Then dad will be laid to rest right after the service November 24, 2021 at 12:30pm located at 1900 Edith Blvd NE. Mt Calvary Cemetery.
