OBITUARY
Chavez, Alvita Mae
Age 84, passed away Friday, October 22, 2021. She was born in San Antonito, NM on December 15, 1936. Alvita was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed being with family and upstry gatherings. When she could she enjoyed going bowling. She belonged to a league in her younger years called "The Aches and Pains". Alvita enjoyed square dancing with her beloved husband of 68 years. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Ignacia Garcia and son, Lolo Chavez Jr.
Alvita is survived by her husband, Lolo Chavez; daughter, Suzanne Sykes; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren and one brother, Ernie Garcia.
A Rosary will be recited at 9:30am with a Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 on November 4, 2021 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1818 Coal Place SE, with a Reception to follow at Strong Thorne Life Event Center, 1100 Coal Ave. SE.
