Obituary

Jessie Ramirez, age 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother.

He is survived by his wife, Fannie Ramirez; children, Peggy and Bob Friend, Steven Ramirez, and Janie and Richard Carrillo; grandchildren, Jessica, Cassidy (Regis), Tanya Friend, Mario Carrillo, and Daniel Carrillo (Marilyn); four great-granddaughters; brother, Max Ramirez; and sister, Juanita Valadez. Mr. Ramirez was preceded in death by his grandson, Carlos Carrillo; his parents, Jesus and Herminia Ramirez; and sister, Fernanda Mata.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2021, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., with Rosary to be recited at 6:00 pm at FRENCH-University. A Mass with be held on Friday, November 5, 2021, 10:00 a.m., at San Jose De Los Duranes Church, 2110 Los Luceros Rd. NW. He will be laid to rest at Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date. Pallbearers will be Mario Carrillo, Daniel Carrillo, Regis Cassidy, George Chavez, Ross Baca, Simon Baca, Marko Stoyanof, and Alex Padilla. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jessica Cassidy, Tanya Friend, and Marilyn Gutierrez. The Rosary will be livestreamed and can be watched at https://webcast.funeralvue.com/events/viewer/62982.
