Obituary
Gabriel Antonio Herrera was our 17-year-old miracle baby from Albuquerque, NM. He gained his angel wings and went to be with our Heavenly Father on Monday, September 27, 2021. Gabriel was full of life and brought joy to everyone he met. He always had the biggest smile that would light up the room. He would give you the biggest bear hugs and would not let go until he was ready. He loved sharing his toys, especially his bears and blankets with you. He liked listening to his radio, especially Spanish and country music. He would always dance every time he heard a good song. He was a joy to be around. He was very expressive, even though he could not talk. He was always able to let you know how he felt. Gabriel will be truly missed and will be forever in our hearts.
Gabriel is survived by his father, Richard Gallegos; his mother, Felicia Herrera; brothers, Gabriel Gallegos, Richard Gallegos, and Matthew Gallegos; sister, Arianny Gallegos; grandparents, Nora Herrera and Phillip Lopez, David and Julia Herrera, Luke and Monica Montoya, Richard Alan Gallegos, and Darlene Trujillo; great-grandparents, Helen Gallegos and Pam Montoya; uncle, Anthony Herrera; aunties, Norma Herrera, Veronica Sanchez, Victoria Sanchez, Rachel Gallegos, and Samantha Garcia; nino, Leonard Herrera; his nina, Minnie Escobedo; and lots of other aunties, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, 1:00 p.m., with a Service at 2:00 p.m., at FRENCH-University. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. A Celebration of Gabriel's life will be held in the FRENCH-University Reception Center after the burial.
Pallbearers will be Gabriel Gallegos, Richard Gallegos, Matthew Gallegos, Anthony Herrera, Mark Martinez, Leonard Herrera, and Phillip Lopez.
