Obituary
Maurice F. Gonzales passed away from this life on Monday, August 23, 2021.
Maurice was preceded in death by his mother, Carmen Gonzales; his brother, Malcom F. Gonzales; and his father, Francisco (Kiko) Gonzales. He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth Gonzales Pimentel and her husband, Robert Pimentel; his sister, Elaine C. Gonzales, and his sister, Emily C. Lucero and her husband, John Lucero. He is also survived by his loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunt, and uncle.
Maurice enjoyed holidays with family, a good meal, skiing, snorkeling, canoeing, listening to music of the 70's, 80's and guitar while riding in his car with his dog, Mila. Maurice lived a life of service for most of his professional career. He received many Certificates of Achievement as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine, and Emergency Medical Services Academy. He was an Official Member of the New Mexico Chapter of the National Disaster Medical System. Additionally, he received Special Service Recognition for his work at the 1996 Centennial Olympic games and his participation in Hurricane George's NM Disaster Medical Assistance Team Deployment in 1998.
On Thursday, September 23, 2021, A Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. a Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. and a Reception will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. Interment will follow, 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery on Edith NE.
