OBITUARY
Pastor Ray Nieto, age 85, born in Pena Blanca, New Mexico and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on September 1, 2021. Mr. Nieto is survived by his children, Patrisha Hendrick, Ray Nieto Jr. and wife, Wendy, Edward Nieto and wife, Aileen, Stephen Nieto and wife, Veronica, Irene Bright and husband, Devin, Fermin Nieto and wife, Melisa, Mariano Nieto and wife, Cheryl, James Nieto and wife, Antoinette; sister Juanita Lovato; twenty-nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren, many close family and friends and his beloved church family. Mr. Nieto was preceded in death by his wife, Rita; parents, Fermin and Maria Nieto; brothers, Louie and Peter; sisters, Frances Saiz and Mary Lou Martinez. Mr. Nieto served his country proudly in the United States Navy. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. at La Luz Christian Church 6008 Avalon Rd NW with a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. and a reception to follow the service. Burial with Navy honors will be held on Thursday September 16, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Fairview Memorial Cemetery 700 Yale Blvd SE. Pallbearers will be Junior Nieto, Levi Nieto, Roman Nieto, D.J. Silva, Antonio Herrera, A.J. Nieto, Stevie Nieto, Darius Sanchez.
