Obituary

Beloved Son, Brother, Dad, and Uncle, Edward Joseph Gurule, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at the age of 60.

He was preceded in death by his father Edward M. Gurule and brother Richard Garcia.

Edward is survived by his mother Julia Gurule; sons: Edward Joseph Gurule, Raymond Gurule; brothers: Michael Gurule (Lisa), Charles Gurule (Polly); and sister Dorothy Astorga (Joe). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews: Mannie, Lorenzo, Charles, Eddie, Antoinette, Daniel, Michelle, Martin, Antonio, Monte, Mia, Braizley, Gianna, Ariana, and Brystol.

Edward served as a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps. He was a jokester. He enjoyed hunting, fishing basketball and softball. He loved going on walks.

Edward's Life Celebration will begin Friday, August 27, 2021 at Salazar Mortuary with a Visitation at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Rosary at 10:00 a.m. and a Catholic Service at 10:30 a.m.  Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  A reception will be held following the burial at Salazar Event Center, 400 Third St. SW.

Pallbearers will be Steve Artiaga, Mannie Gurule, Lorenzo Gurule, Charles Gurule, Daniel Astorga, and Joe Astorga.
