Elaine Marie Wheaton

Elaine Marie Wheaton was born January 5, 1938. She passed away Sunday evening August 15, 2021 peacefully with grace surrounded by her family.
She was born in New York City January 5, 1938 and move Los Angles, California where she graduated from Saint Agnes Catholic High School in 1957.
Elaine married her long love Tom Wheaton in 1960 and had three children. They were blessed in marriage for 61 years.
They moved back to Tom’s native state of New Mexico in 1972 where she helped build his dental lab business as a bookkeeper.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Lorraine Marshall. She is survived by her husband, Tom Roy Wheaton; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Guy Appelman; son, Michael Wheaton and daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Dave Tobin. She will be loving missed by her four-legged grand dogs, Merfee, Kona, Phoebe and Bubba.
Elaine will be deeply missed by her brothers, Jacob Marshall and wife Alice, Frank Marshall and wife Donna and sister, Andrea Rodriguez along with her nieces, Jennifer, Danelle, Gina and nephews Mark, Manny and Alex.
Elaine was fond of her weekly water aerobics with friends. She always brought sunshine to the room with her smile and laughter and was willing to engage in conversations with anyone-never met a stranger!
She enjoyed taking scenic car rides of her state of New Mexico along with her passion of getting a good deal at the shopping malls.
The family will be laying to rest Elaine in a private ceremony at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
“When tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand, that an angel came and called my name, and took me by the hand. The angle said my place is ready, in Heaven far above. And that I’d have to leave behind, all those I dearly love. But when I walk thru Heaven’s gates, I felt at home, for God looked down, smiled at me and told me “Welcome Home”.
So when tomorrow starts without me, don’t think we’re far apart, for everything you think of me, I’m forever in your heart.
