Obituary
James Seifert passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021 at the young age of 43, among family.
James lost his battle with Adrenomyeloneuropathy (AMN), an inherited genetic disorder. His fight was long but valiant and mighty. James' spirit was strong to the very end.
James was a life long resident of Albuquerque, NM. He was born July 2, 1978. He is survived by his children, Evan 12, Aiden 9 and Avery 6; mother, Cynthia Seifert ; stepmother, Aurora Balderrama; sisters, Stephanie Eddings and Allison Seifert.
James graduated from the University of New Mexico in 2001 with a Bachelors of Political Science and is a brother of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.
James was a co-owner of his family's restaurant, La Salita, and held the title of head cook for twenty years.
James was a devoted father, friend, brother and son. He had a passion for, and vast knowledge of music, movies, sports, pop-culture, food, cars, fishing and just about anything new he could learn and grow from. He had a kind heart, helping hand, was a social butterfly and all around great guy. James was a problem solver and mister fix it. More than anything, James was loyal to and supportive of those he loved and those in need of his light. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure to know him.
A Funeral Service to celebrate James' life, is scheduled for Saturday, August 21, 2021, 12:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE 87112.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please consider donating to research for treatments and a possible cure for Adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) and Adrenomyeloneuropathy (AMN).
