Woods, Sh'yla Rae

Woods, Sh'yla Rae age 21, passed away Saturday May 29th 2021. She was born in Albuquerque New Mexico on March 6th 2000. Sh'yla loved animals and enjoyed when she worked at the zoo. She also loved painting and her dogs Marquan and Panda. Sh'yla absolutely adored her family especially her Mama and her brothers. She proudly represented herself in the LGBTQ+ community. Her loving heart was so amazing and she loved so deeply. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Phillips; brother, Jalen Phillips; great-grandmother, Fae Carlton; great-grandfather, Manuel Sanchez; great-grandmother, Ella Mae Woods; grandmother Marcella Sadler, and great uncle's John and Jody Sanchez.

Sh'yla is survived by her mother, Amber Woods; sister, Sierra Woods; brothers, Anthony Woods and Jamari Phillips-Woods; her aunts, Robyn Sanchez, Victoria Sanchez, Ashley Woods, Aja Trujillo and Diane Johnson; her uncle's, Vincent Vigil, Raymond Woods, Eric Johnson and Dray Thomas; her grandmother, April Sanchez; her grandfather, Raymond Woods; her cousins, Summer and Dustin Sanchez, Jenna, Ryan and Silas Lay, Victoria Johnson, Julia Richardson, Jasmine, Felicity, Real, Aliyah, Shirelle, Blessed and True Woods, Yanique Jones, Marcel Bradford, Rayven Younger, Aliana Aragon, Brooklynn Vigil, Malakai and Winry Trujillo, Demarkus Johnson and Damari Thomas and her girlfriend, Keyanna Garcia.

A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 3:00-4:00 pm at Metropolitan Church of Albuquerque, 1103 Texas Street NE.
