New Mexico State University Global Campus is embracing the essence of Star Wars Day by offering exciting virtual reality (VR) courses designed to expand learners' horizons. The courses aim to provide interactive and engaging experiences, guiding participants in mastering the latest VR technologies.

According to Andrew Sedillo, the director of Microcredentials Instructional Design at NMSU Global Campus, "By tapping into Star Wars Day, we can align our VR microlearning courses with the spirit of innovation and futuristic exploration that both our programs and this day celebrate." Sedillo further emphasized the transformative potential of these courses, stating, “These courses are not new, but their potential to transform educational landscapes continues to grow with each cohort. We invite learners to channel their inner Jedi and master the tools that will define the future of technology and instruction.”

The VR courses available for enrollment at NMSU Global Campus cater to a wide range of learners, from beginners to advanced users, with prices varying based on the course content. Some of the current offerings include “Designing the Future: Instructional Design in the Metaverse,” “Building Mental Health Simulations in Virtual Reality,” and “Spatial Computing Masterclass.” Future courses such as “Virtual Reality for Business” and “Virtual Reality for Education” are also set to be available for enrollment soon.

These courses are part of NMSU Global Campus's commitment to integrating cutting-edge technology into accessible educational formats. With a focus on preparing students and professionals to leverage VR across different sectors, the courses cover areas such as instructional design, mental health, business training, and educational innovation.
