Old Town in Albuquerque is gearing up for a special celebration this Mother's Day, May 12. The day promises free entertainment from talented performers, delicious food options, and fun activities for all to enjoy.

The centerpiece of the event will be the Gazebo, where various local artists will showcase their talents. As mentioned by the organizers, Nathaniel Krantz will kick off the entertainment at 1 p.m., followed by Baila! Baila! at 2:45 p.m., and Picoso at 3:30 p.m.

Visitors can also indulge in a variety of culinary delights, with restaurants serving their signature dishes and local food trucks offering quick bites ranging from BBQ to salads. Additionally, the City of Albuquerque's Animal Welfare Dept. will be present with adoptable pets, and adoption fees will be waived as a special Mother's Day gesture.

For families attending the event, there will be plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained, including free face painting and a thrilling 25-foot climbing wall. The streets in and around Old Town Plaza will be closed to traffic to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees.

Parking will be available at the Albuquerque Museum lot and surrounding areas, making it convenient for visitors to join in the festivities. The event will take place rain or shine, and well-behaved pets on leashes are welcome to join in the celebration.
